Medicare

Occupational therapists are eligible to provide a range of services funded by Medicare. Medicare funding programs that can be accessed by occupational therapists are:

  • M3 – Allied Health Services for Chronic Disease Management

  • M10 – Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorder (such as Autism Spectrum Disorder) and Eligible Disability Services (formerly known as Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorder or Disability Services and the Better Start and Helping Children with Autism programs)

Aged Care Packaging

Aged care packages integrate occupational therapy to enhance seniors' quality of life. Occupational therapists assess individuals' needs, design tailored interventions, and promote independence in daily activities. They address mobility issues, recommend assistive devices, and create safe home environments, empowering seniors to live comfortably and autonomously as they age.

WORK SAFE

WorkSafe collaborates with occupational therapists to assess workplace injuries, design personalized rehabilitation plans, and provide ergonomic assessments. Occupational therapy interventions focus on restoring function and facilitating a safe return to work. Together, they prioritize workers' well-being, ensuring a supportive environment and sustainable productivity.

TAC

TAC has entered into a partnership with the Victorian State-Wide Equipment Program (SWEP). TAC uses this partnership to manage Occupational Therapist (OT) credentialing. Occupational Therapists are trained to help people to take part in everyday activities and live more independent lives. You may need the help of an occupational therapist after your accident.

Private

Paying privately for occupational therapy offers flexibility in scheduling sessions and accessing specialized services beyond what public healthcare provides. It allows individuals to prioritize their needs and receive personalized care tailored to their specific goals and preferences.
